Call for Volunteers + Partners: Help Us Bring the Pop-Up Stage to Life

Rock the Block Society is growing, and we’re building the practical foundation that makes accessible community music events possible — gear, planning, partnerships, and a solid volunteer crew.

What we’re looking for right now

We’re currently inviting volunteers and community partners to help with:

Volunteer Crew Roles

• Setup & teardown (tents, signage, stage basics)

• Hospitality (welcoming performers + checking in with attendees)

• Wayfinding & info booth support

• Stage support (light coordination, timekeeping, helping performers rotate on/off)

• Photo/video helpers (even phone content is amazing!)

Partner Opportunities

• Host a pop-up or jam at your space

• Sponsor a stage, sound equipment, or accessibility supports

• Offer in-kind support (printing, snacks, supplies, gear lending)

• Help us spread the word to your community

“Do I need experience?”

Nope. If you’re reliable, friendly, and excited to help, you’re qualified.We’ll share clear expectations, training where needed, and we’ll make sure you’re set up for success.

Why it matters

When community music is done well, it changes how a city feels. It creates connection. It brings people outside. It gives beginners a safe first step. It gives local artists more places to be heard.
