REFUND POLICY.

Rock the Block Society is a community-powered nonprofit. This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for donations, fundraising sales, and paid event registrations (if applicable).

Donations

Donations are generally non-refundable. Because donations are used to fund community programming, equipment, and event costs, we typically can’t issue refunds once a donation has been processed.

Exceptions: We may consider a refund in limited situations, such as:

  • a duplicate donation made in error

  • an incorrect donation amount entered by mistake

  • suspected unauthorized use of a payment method

If you believe one of the above applies, contact us as soon as possible (details below) and include the donor name, date, and transaction details.

Paid events, workshops, or ticketed fundraising (if applicable)

If Rock the Block Society offers paid tickets or paid registrations for specific fundraising events:

  • Cancellations by Rock the Block Society: If we cancel an event, you’ll be offered a refund or the option to apply your payment as a credit toward a future Rock the Block event (your choice, when possible).

  • Schedule / lineup changes: Event details (times, locations, performers) may change. Minor changes typically do not qualify for refunds, but we’ll always aim to communicate updates clearly.

  • Weather / outdoor events: Many events are outdoors. If weather impacts an event, we may delay, relocate, adjust programming, or reschedule. Refunds are not guaranteed in weather-related changes, but we’ll do our best to offer options (credit/reschedule) when feasible.

Merchandise and fundraising items (if applicable)

If we sell physical merchandise or fundraising items:

  • Unused items in original condition may be eligible for a return or exchange within 14 days of purchase (unless stated otherwise at the point of sale).

  • Digital products (downloads) are non-refundable once delivered, unless there’s a technical issue we can’t resolve.

Shipping/delivery costs (if applicable) are not refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Processing times

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when possible. Processing times vary depending on the payment provider and your financial institution.

  • your name

  • the date of purchase/donation

  • the amount

  • and a short description of the issue
