Get ready for an EPIC Halloween party!
We’re taking Sip N’ Strum and turning it into one big Halloween bash packed with live music, sing-alongs, drinks, costumes, prizes and all kinds of spooky fun. Grab your friends, dress up, hit the bar and get ready to sing, sip, strum and celebrate with an awesome community of music lovers. In collaboration with Mechanics of Music!
Whether you’re jumping in on every song or just coming for the party, this is all about letting loose, having a ridiculously fun night and making some noise together — all in support of Rock the Block Society and Mechanics of Music Fest!
WHAT TO EXPECT.
Expect all the things you love about Sip N’ Strum — turned up for Halloween!
Your $20 ticket includes:

Live music and group sing-alongs — Grab your songbook, sing loud and become part of the music!

Free digital event songbook — Download it before the event and follow along on your phone or tablet.

Costume contest and themed photo area — Come spooky, ridiculous, glamorous, rock ’n’ roll—or just come as you are.

Raffle prizes, silent auction and 50/50 draw — Take a chance and you could go home with a great prize or some extra cash!

Halloween surprises — Expect a few tricks, treats and surprises throughout the night.

A welcoming, no-pressure musical experience — You don’t need to be a musician or a Mechanics of Music student to join the fun.
Bring your own instrument or reserve one for the evening for an additional $10. No instrument or previous musical experience is required.
A cash bar, packaged snacks, food and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase. Printed songbooks can also be preordered for $5.
Tickets are $20 per person. Children under 12 attend free but must be included in the booking. All children must remain with a responsible adult throughout the event; drop-off attendance is not permitted.

Proceeds from the Epic Halloween Sip N’ Strum will help support the Rock the Block Society and Mechanics of Music Fest 2027. It will help our continued work creating accessible, community-focused live music experiences in New Westminster.
